1920 Stella Koa Very Good, Hard, $895.00

An unusually large (maybe 12-fret 000-size?) top-grade Stella from 80-100 years ago, when guitars were guitars and pearl was cheap. All-koa body with flamed top and back, appear to be solid too. Got that fabulous pearl-and-abalone vine all up and down the fingerboard; pearl-abalone inlaid pickguard too, vine-and-rose pattern (though it looks more like a cabbage to me) set into tortoise-type celluloid; five-piece laminated neck, ebony pyramid bridge. Stella really pulled out all the stops on this one, I cannot imagine finer. Some older top cracks solidly repaired; action height fine though a few notes kinda clanky here and there, standard issue on these old things. This one is True Art, eye-popping splendor, all in one teriffic six-string package at literally less than one-third of what someone paid for it just a few years back. Offered AS IS.
