Circa 1958 Stewart Oriphonic hollow body electric guitar in excellent overall condition, with original brown alligator red lined softshell case, also in excellent shape. This is a really really cool late 50s hollowbody, similar in look and feel to an old Guild Bluesbird. This single P90 like hollowbody sounds GREAT. Has that great hollow, poppy rock around the clock like tone! Super easy to hold and play - lightweight! - and just a beautiful build design. The T is StewarT is broken off the headstock logo, and the guitar does have the binding issue that has happened with many many of these guitars. As the binding is now, there are cracks in the binding uniformly, and there are small areas where the binding has fallen out - but overall it looks proper considering the age of the guitar, and it is our belief that it is best to simply leave the guitar and its binding in its original state. The guitar's top is mildly figured, and the back IS BEAUTIFULLY FLAMED! Really nice sunburst finish, and the flamed maple on the back is stunning. Frets are in great shape, lots of life. This is a really cool total package - and this thing does have the vibe - would be great as a song writing tool, or for recording - it's got that dark and ancient smoky vibe to it. Lots more photos availabe - please feel free to call 859-261-5500 for an in hand description. Thanks.
