2019 Suhr Alt T Pro with Upgraded G&G Case Black Gloss
If you are a fan of Thinline Tele-style instruments as we are here at Capital Guitars, then this instrument should interest you. Offered for sale is this lovely Alt T Pro built by John Suhr in 2019.
As much as I love solid body Tele-style guitars, turning it into a semi-hollow instrument makes a great instrument even better (IMHO). It clearly makes for a lighter weight guitar, but also adds a bit of woody resonance, character and warmth to the instrument's tone. Further, replacing the single coils with humbuckers, as is the case with the Alt T Pro, makes for a guitar with far more sonic capabilities.
The Alt T Pro has a chambered Alder body with a gloss black finish. This one weighs just under 7 pounds ( 6 lbs. 15 ounces). It has a Maple neck with Suhr's 'Even C Medium' neck shape and depth measurement of .830" - .950". The Rosewood fretboard has a 9"-12" compound radius, medium stainless steel frets and 1.650" Tusq nut. It has a cut down Tele style bridge with brass saddles. The electronics include two Thornbucker humbucking pickups with master volume, master tone and a five-way pickup selector.
Anyone who has played a Fender Thinline will find this guitar immediately familiar in feel, although it could be argued that this guitar is built with better precision and has better playability. The tone is certainly better as evidenced by the sound sample below. The Suhr humbuckers sound terrific and allow for 335-like tones in pickup selector positions 1, 3 and 5. In positions 2 and 4 you get slightly more subdued single coil tones, making for an extremely versatile guitar.
Despite the gloss black finish, this guitar is near mint condition with no flaws of any significance. It could easily pass for new. The stainless steel frets are spotless too. While these typically come in a gig bag, this example comes in an upgraded G&G hardshell along with the spec sheet and tools.

Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included.
