Description

Offered is this killer Suhr Classic Custom S-style guitar built back in 2004. I love these "older" Suhr guitars, manufactured at a time when John Suhr was still doing much of the actual building himself. This beautiful guitar has the following specs: a light Alder body with a total guitar weight of just 7.7 pounds (7 pounds, 11 ounces); a medium C-shaped Maple neck with depth measurements of .830" at the 1st fret tapering up to .950" at the 12th; a gorgeous Brazilian Rosewood fretboard (no longer available) with a 10"-14" compound radius, 6105 Stainless Steel frets and a 1.650" nut; locking Sperzel tuners; and for electronics, Suhr V60 single coils in the neck and middle positions and a Suhr humbucker in the bridge along with VTT and five-way switching. As with virtually all Suhr guitars I've ever played, the build quality and precision of this instrument is superb. It has a great setup and it nearly plays itself. The tone is a mix of classic Strat quack with a healthy dose of the modern clarity that Suhr guitars are known for. This beautiful guitar has not been out of it's case many times in the twelve years since it was built. There is scant evidence of play anywhere on this guitar and the stainless frets are spotless. It comes in it's similarly mint G&G case along with the trem arm, truss rod tool and the paperwork. This is a great Suhr from a great era. Make it yours!
