Originally released in 2010, Suhr’s vintage-styled C2 guitars are classic models in the Pro Series package. They feature a lightweight Alder body in a classic shape and a one-piece Maple neck in the 60’s style “C” shape, making them a versatile guitar for virtually all styles of players.
Suhr likes to play up the shape of the Pro Series Classic, saying how it's a "nod to the iconic double cutaway shape that has embodied Rock and Blues music for decades.," referencing it's tone as a "familiar voice," and its "vintage vibe". All of these things are correct, but the classic looks still can't hide the modern amenities like locking tuners for increased tuning stability, nickel frets, and PLEK'd frets for increased neck sturdiness and play comfort.
The combination of a Gotoh 510TS-SF1 bridge and Sperzel locking tuners ensure great intonation whether you’re strumming casually, or going after those lightning-fast solos. Equipped with three ML Standard single-coil pickups, the C2 is an affordable guitar for the player who needs an exciting, vintage-style tone.
Suhr Master Builder workmanship on finishing, fret work, assembly, and set-up includes the Plek fret-leveling process for the utmost in smooth playability and the Buzz Feiten Tuning System which enables you to be in-tune anywhere on the neck.
