Description

"The challenge is not to be different, but to be different and great sounding. To be unique, yet still have so much of what makes those classics classic." ~ Chris Swope

Our latest - and gorgeous - sunburst Swope GTO from the hands of Chris Swope is proof that his guitars just keep getting better and better. The fit, finish, and playability are exactly what you'd expect for a builder who's logged many years working for Gibson's Custom Shop and legendary builder, Roger Sadowsky. The neck carve is reminiscent of a 60s Fender carve and simply feels great to play. Chris describes the pickups in the GTO as being "lap steel inspired and having a bit more output and fuller midrange" than other pickups in his line (the MG specifically). We'd agree. There are some Strat-like tones in here as well. Bottom line? This guitar sounds and plays incredible! If you're looking to stand out from the crowd, reduce the number of guitars you have to bring to the gig (this guitar is brilliant in trio settings), or simply want to treat yourself to something new and original...look no further. An outstanding guitar in every regard! Priced with hardshell case.
