2019 Taylor Custom 414ce Grand Auditorium Acoustic/Electric

Excellent condition featuring single cutaway Grand Auditorium size body, V-Class bracing, solid Sitka spruce top with Shaded Edgeburst finish and decorative abalone soundhole rosette, solid Indian rosewood back and sides, multi-bound top edges and single bound back edges, single ply tortoiseshell grain pickguard, ebony belly bridge with tusq compensated saddle and six ebony bridge pins with abalone center dots, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard with engraved Victorian inlays starting at the third fret, black nut, Taylor peghead shape, rosewood peghead overlay with mother of pearl Taylor logo and enlarged engraved decorative Victorian inlay, three per side gold sealed Taylor stamped tuning machines, Taylor Expression System 2 (ES2) pickup system with volume, bass and treble controls mounted to the bass side of the body, two metal strap buttons and Original brown Taylor badged hard shell case with maroon plush interior.

This 2019 Taylor Custom 414ce is in excellent (almost unplayed) condition showing no signs of play wear throughout. The neck profile of this instrument is that of a typical Taylor neck carve which is a comfortable soft C shape with a 1 3/4 inch nut width. The frets show no signs of play wear and have a lifetime of use left in them. This Taylor has been professionally set up and plays effortlessly up and down the fingerboard. This is a particularly good sounding example of a Taylor Grand Auditorium guitar and is a little dryer and rounder than a lot of other Taylors that I have played and has plenty of volume and character. The ES2 pickup system is also a huge improvement from the original Taylor Expression System, in my opinion, and sounds great plugged in making this guitar perfect for live situations. The Shaded Edgeburst finish is exceptionally attractive and looks great paired with the engraved Victorian inlays. This is an overall dynamite offering from the Taylor guitar company.
