Description

Please do yourself a favor and check out the Taylor Grand Symphony offered for sale here. This gorgeous instrument was custom-ordered with very special specs in 2007.

The original owner of this instrument ordered it with a (flawless) Engelmann Spruce top, Brazilian Rosewood for the back and sides and a Venetian cutaway. Other options include a single ring Abalone rosette, ivoroid binding on the body and fingerboard, pearl dot fingerboard inlays, gold Gotoh 510 tuners and a clear pickguard. It has a 1.75" nut and 2.25" string spacing at the saddle. A copy of the original 2007 dealer order sheet is included.

The GS is a full size instrument with a lower bout that is 16-1/8" wide and 4-5/8" deep at the tail block. That said, it plays far more comfortably than it's body size would suggest and the power of this instrument makes the size more than worthwhile. Just listen to the included sound sample; this guitar is LOUD and clear, with great tonal balance. If you need to be heard, this guitar can give it to you! With it's sleek Taylor neck this guitar plays like butter and is set up with a fresh set of Elixir Phosphor Bronze Lights and 12th fret string heights of 6/64" at the low E side and 4/64" on the high side.

The only flaw of any significance on this guitar is on the back of the guitar near the tail block. Two vertical lines of about 1/2" can be seen in the photos. This area is smooth and under the clear coat finish. It may be a very small repaired crack as Brazilian Rosewood is frequently known to require, or a small imperfection which ocurred during the guitar's construction. This small cosmetic issue aside, the guitar is in superb condition and the frets show no observable wear. It comes in it's original Taylor faux snakeskin brown case.

If you have been looking for an instrument with power and clarity and/or have been looking for a Brazilian Rosewood acoustic at an affordable price, this guitar certainly warrants your consideration. A great value and highly recommended! Make it yours.
