Offered is this very classy little short-scale, 14-fret acoustic, a 2015 Taylor K22CE. This is a Grand Concert-sized guitar which has a body which is 15" wide and 4 3/8" deep and a total length of just 19.5 inches. The top, back and sides are all made of solid and nicely figured Hawaiian Koa with CV bracing and relief rout construction. It has a Venetian cutaway to provide easy access to the upper frets. The neck is tropical Mahogany and the fret board is Ebony with an Island Vine inlay. The string scale is 24 7/8" and the bone nut is 1.75" wide. The bridge is also Ebony and the saddle is bone. The tuners are upgraded Gotoh 510's with 21:1 ratios. The electronics are the new and improved ES2 system for natural sound and dependability while playing amplified.
This guitar sounds much more powerful than it's small size would otherwise suggest and the tone is quite warm and articulate. It plays oh so nice as a fingerstyle instrument, but has plenty of punch for flat picking too. It is newly setup with Elixir 80/20 lights. The 9th fret string heights measure 6/64" on the low E side and 4/64" on the high side.
This guitar is in excellent plus condition, with only the lightest evidence of play. The frets show no observable wear. It comes with it's original Taylor brown premium case and paperwork. This is a very special short scale, 1-fret instrument. When you can find them, they have a street price of around $4,400, plus another $100 or so for the upgraded tuners. Get this beautiful and lightly used 2015 example for a bunch less. Very nice indeed!
