Description

Offered is this gorgeous 2018 Taylor K24ce, with the top, back and sides made entirely of solid Hawaiian Koa. As a 2018 model, this guitar has Taylor's new V-class bracing and a few cosmetic modifications. This particular guitar has also been upgraded with Gotoh 510 tuners.

The K24ce is a Grand Auditorium size guitar with a Venetian cutaway, a lower bout measuring 16" wide and 4 5/8" deep. Other key specs include: a 25.5" scale length; 1 3/4" black graphite nut; a Mahogany neck with Ebony fret board and Spring Vine fretboard inlay; an Ebony bridge with a micarta saddle; Taylor's ES-2 electronics; and upgraded gold Gotoh 510 tuners with 18:1 ratios for extremely accurate tuning. In 2018 Taylor eliminated some of the Rosewood trim previously used in the production of this instrument in recognition of the new CITES restrictions on this species of tonewood and replaced it with Ebony and Wide Leaf Maple. Andy Powers' new V-class bracing has also been introduced to the this model. This new bracing system was engineered to improve the guitar's output, sustain and intonation over that of previous Koa models. This new bracing system has brought big improvements to the performance of Taylor guitars and is gradually being introduced throughout the Taylor lineup.

This guitar has a big and very clear voice and the Koa construction adds a bit of warmth and richness. Please check out the brief sound sample and video included. As a Taylor, it has a nice fast neck that is super-easy to play. The ES2 system makes for an instrument that sounds great and is quite reliable while playing amplified.

This guitar is in near mint condition with virtually nothing in the way of flaws and zero fret wear. It comes with it's original Taylor hardshell case and paperwork. Normally these have a street price around $4,500. Save a bunch on this near new example plus get the upgraded Gotoh 510 tuners.

If you are looking for a premium acoustic/electric, give this fabulous Taylor a good look!
