Description

Offered is this gorgeous Taylor Koa GA Fall Limited built in 2011. This guitar was available only briefly, but was so successful that it spurred the introduction of the K-24CE and similar Koa-based regular production Taylor models. This lovely instrument, however, was bestowed with a number of upgrades that did not make it into the production models.

The Koa GA Fall Limited is a Grand Auditorium size guitar with a Venetian cutaway, a lower bout measuring 16" wide and 4 5/8" deep. The top, back and sides are made of AA grade Hawaiian Koa and the neck is made of tropical Mahogany. Other key specs include: a 25-1/2" scale length; 1-3/4" bone nut; Rosewood binding and trim: an Ebony fret board with a unique Koa /Boxwood "Twist" fretboard inlay designed by Larry Breedlove; an Ebony bridge with a bone saddle and 2-1/4" string spacing; Taylor's ES electronics; and gold Gotoh 510 tuners with 1:21 ratios for extremely accurate tuning. The entire guitar is finished in gloss Shaded Edgeburst.

This guitar has a big and very clear voice and the Koa tone wood adds a bit of warmth and richness. Please check out the brief sound sample included. As a Taylor, it has a nice fast neck that is super-easy to play. The ES system makes for an instrument that makes amplified play a breeze.

This guitar is in near mint condition with virtually nothing in the way of flaws and no observable fret wear. It comes with it's original Taylor brown hardshell case and paperwork. This instrument is no longer available, but a new K-24CE with slightly lesser specs will cost you nearly $5K. Get this near mint limited run instrument for more than $2K less.

If you are looking for a premium acoustic/electric, give this fabulous Taylor a good look!
