Description

Absolutely gorgeous pre-owned 2002 Taylor LTG Liberty Tree Guitar in original Natural finish with American themed appointments. Extremely clean condition, this guitar was purchased and put away by a collector now it is available again here. This one is #282 of 400 made.

This guitar was made from the last living Liberty Tree, a Tulip Poplar from revolutionary times residing in Annapolis, Maryland, that was toppled in 1999 by Hurricane Floyd.

Each of the 13 colonies had a Liberty Tree that served as a meeting point where colonists gathered to plan the rebellion against the British.

Taylor Guitars later purchased the tree and was able to make a total of 400 of these guitars, which are highly collectible.

The Tulip Poplar wood on the back and sides is beautifully figured. The border of the body is bound with abalone (mother of pearl) inlay and the front of the guitar has an amazing inlay of a colonial flag. The head stock has an inlay of a wind furled revolutionary flag. The neck and body have a detailed inlay of the US Constitution. Thirteen stars representing the founding colonies, surround the sound hole.

A particularly beautiful example that plays and sounds as great as she looks.

Come with original case and paperwork as pictured.
