Introducing the new Taylor Urban Ironbark 514CE Grand Auditorium guitar with cutaway and electronics. Formerly featuring Mahogany back and sides, Taylor's popular 500 Series now boasts back and sides of Urban Ironbark, an all-new tonewood sourced from Taylor's always-growing urban wood initiative. As a back and side wood, Urban Ironbark yields a bold, rich and sweet voice that's sure to impress players of all styles, giving these guitars piano-like clarity with a smooth character that amplifies each player's unique touch. For these new guitars Taylor has paired the Urban Ironbark with torrefied spruce tops for an extra seasoned tone, adding up to a supremely balanced sound that performs exceptionally well on stage or in the studio. If you're looking for a guitar with a totally original, unexpected musical personality, look no further than the 500 Series. Taylor's first Grand Auditorium guitar featuring back and sides of Urban Ironbark, the new 514ce delivers a sweet, muscular sound that combines rosewood's high-fidelity voice with mahogany's warm and punchy midrange and spectrum-wide sonic balance. Paired with a torrefied Sitka spruce top for a played-in, mature sound and V-Class bracing for improved volume and sustain, the 514ce yields power ideal for heavy strummers along with touch sensitivity that gives it a wide dynamic range that's great for fingerstyle players. With new Aerial inlays in Italian acrylic, a single-ring abalone rosette, a subtle stain that highlights Urban Ironbark's rich red hues, a lightly shaded edgeburst and gloss-finish body, the 514ce blends traditional and contemporary visual styles. Urban Ironbark models serve up a deep, clear sound with a smooth attack, piano-like fidelity and a muscular, loud voice. All 500 Series models are crafted with Taylor's V-Class bracing architecture for improved volume, sustain and tunefulness across the frequency range. Meanwhile, the easy-playing Taylor neck makes for a pleasingly relaxed handfeel while fretting. Taylor's proprietary Expression System 2 behind-the-saddle acoustic pickup translates the complex tones of the 500 Series into rich, organic live sound when playing through an amp or PA. Standard 500 Series models sport an all-new Aerial inlay pattern in Italian acrylic and faux pearl, along with a single-ring abalone rosette, and a full-gloss body finish with a subtle reddish stain for the Urban Ironbark back and sides. All models in the 500 Series ship with a deluxe hardshell guitar case for protection during transport and storage.
