Description
Super cool Lafayette bass made by Teisco in Japan in the 1960s! In need of some restoration, but it definitely has potential. The pickups do output, but its bit noisy and the switch is finicky. I would recommend going through all the electronics. The action is pretty high, and, I'm thinking this is due to the neck angle so that will need to be assessed.

Otherwise in pretty rough shape. Lots of checking, wear in the finish, chips, dings, ect. The wood is pretty rough in some areas, especially around the neck.

The E tuner has been replaced with a tuner slightly bigger than the others, and the part that turns can overlap with the A string tuner. the A, D and G string tuners are vintage style reverse winding, while the replaced E tuner winds the traditional way.

The 17th fret is coming up a bit, and I believe the neck to have a twist.

I have done my best faith effort to describe all issues, but you may run into other things throughout the repair process, buyer assumes all risk on this

Overall functional, but not in the best shape and really needs some TLC. Sold as is for a project/repair.

No returns or refunds for any reason. As-pictured, no guarantees made.
