  • SN 278. This guitar was completed in 2017 and has been in Robin's personal collection. Every once in awhile, it gets listed on the website, only to be removed again. At long last, she has reluctantly agreed to sell this special guitar.
  • The Brazilian rosewood used for this build was from Robin's own stash of exotic tonewood.

  • So, this is Tom's interpretation of the Robert Johnson L-1 guitar.  It is that incredibly comfortable "peanut" shape and it can sound sweet as honey or mean as a snake! This guitar does it all, just listen to our sound samples- this Rein R1 delivers an incredibly resonant tone that will impress any acoustic guitarist.


    • What is Moonspruce?

    Moonspruce is simply a name for spruce that was harvested and handled according to a century-old tradition from the Alp-regions in Europe. Carpenters and luthiers had recognized that wood that was cut under certain conditions, differs from wood that is not cut using the old traditional way of handling.

    Regarding this traditional method the old violin masters like Stradivarius etc. said that moonwood has several advantages to non-moonwood. This wood is more resistant against moister changes and it is stiffer: some analysis say that it seems to be ca. 15% denser than a comparable piece of non-moonwood and it feels like long-time stored wood that has reached a stable state. .

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your guitar, simply return it fully insured (with prior authorization) via shipping method we agree upon. When we receive the instrument in the same condition as when we shipped it, you will happily be issued a refund minus all shipping costs.
