Description

This Thompson T-1C serial number 0195, the first T-1 cutaway produced in 1995, is in excellent condition. Fully functional, no issues. Cosmetically clean with a clear plastic protector on the treble side of the soundhole.

Ted Thompson is one of Canada’s best kept secrets. He’s a luthier of amazing skill, and builds exceptionally high-quality acoustic guitars. Ted's guitars are made in one of the loveliest towns on the planet; Vernon, British Columbia. Thompson guitars are well known as one of the best values in the handmade acoustic guitar market today, known for their balanced and pure sound. As on all Thompsons, this T1-C features all solid woods: East Indian rosewood for back and sides. Sitka spruce top. Ebony fingerboard and bridge, mahogany neck and maple binding. The construction uses dovetail neck joints and bone saddle. Adjustable truss rod and transparent pick guard. Upper bout width is 12", lower bout width is 15 7/8". The nut width is 1 3/4" with a 25 1/2" scale length and overall length of 41". Pre-amp and pickup sans any external controls are fitted.

This is a truly beautiful instrument, sounds amazing. The tone rivals but doesn't sound like a Martin. This guitar is very collectable and playable; Thompson produces only 40-50 guitars a year. This is one to own!

Hard shell case included.

***Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.
***This is a specific item that is also being offered for sale in our brick & mortar location. It is possible that it has just been sold. Please ask if it is still available before purchasing.
***It is our policy to require a signature on delivery of all musical instruments. Please let us know if you prefer no signature required when ordering or we will automatically require a signature.
