You may know Ron Thorn as a Fender Principal Master Builder and Director of Master Builder Operations. His custom shop designs are legendary and his reputation as a top custom builder is well established. You may not know that Ron had his own custom guitar business for many years before joining Fender. In early 2000 Thorn Custom Guitars began creating high-end custom guitars until soaring sales and a backlog of over 100 orders caused them to expand and modernize their facility. In 2012 Thorn moved to a larger facility with specialized tooling and R&D capabilities where he began developing multiple new model lines, all with the unique features and exquisite build quality he was known for. In 2018 Ron closed up shop to join Fender.

This particular Thorn Tele-Style guitar is unique in so many ways. From it's custom checkboard top to its custom hand-wound pickups, it's a delight. Check out the Specs below for more details.
