2015 TK Smith "Tele-Type" Custom Guitar Vintage White

Here’s yet another modern treasure from one of the greatest guitar builders of our time, TK Smith. It’s one of his “Tele-Type” models from 2015 and it features playing card suits inlaid on the pickguard which have led us to affectionately dub it “the Gambler.” Not sure if TK would approve, but whatever you call it, this guitar is absolutely awesome.

All TK Smith guitars display a level of build quality that is unsurpassed in terms of design, functionality, and aesthetics. This one has a pair of Smith’s C.A.R. pickups, one with pole pieces and one blade-style. These pickups are vintage in design and are unlike traditional Fender pickups: they have a bit less output, a softer high end, slower attack, but huge fat tone and great harmonic resonance—perfect for Jazz, Swing, Rockabilly, Travis picking, or Blues. They sound absolutely great with flatwounds, but do fine with round wound strings, too.

Double bound neck with aluminum nut (1 11/16 inch) and beautiful inlays. Plays like a dream. Vintage style nickel tuners. Bigsby bridge and tailpiece customized by TK. Old school strap loops. In excellent condition with one small edge ding and one ding on the back (see photos). Comes with its original heavy duty custom fitted hardshell case. This is a lifetime guitar that you’ll be thrilled to own and to play.
