Description

TLL Guitars are fully handmade in Sweden by Luthier Tobias Lindberg. Tobias's guitars are heavily influenced by Art Deco designs of the early 1900's. Each instrument he builds is a stunning piece of functional art with forward thinking design implementation both inside and out. While the Marvin is quite the modern design ascetically, you'll notice that it still feels and sound familiar. Upon picking this guitar up, you'll instantly be blown away by its high-end build quality, complex details and overall beauty. Where the Marvin seems to gets everyone is in its mesmerizing tone, which well discuss in further detail below.

The compact body size is extremely comfortable and built with balance in mind. This guitar sits perfectly in your lap without any body or neck dive whatsoever. Every piece of this instrument has been painstakingly thought out and executed to the highest standards.

This guitar resonates insanely. Notes bloom and sustain in an acoustic-like manner. It is also quite loud even before plugging in. We feel instruments like this can only be built by a guitar maker who has the utmost knowledge in their field; Tobias certainly does. While the Marvin is a single cutaway design with hum-bucking pickups, it is refreshingly spanky and responsive leaning towards a Fullerton-Style bolt on neck guitar in it's attack and overall feel. The 25 1/2" scale suits this design perfectly. The Marvin seamlessly mixes the best qualities of both Fullerton and Kalamazoo style guitars into one incredible design.

The Dual Blade P-90 style pickups are nice and fat sounding with a great and present lower midrange. They are very articulate and touch sensitive. Tonally this is a very pleasing and versatile instrument. The pickups become more aggressive when used to push a tube amp or while utilizing an overdrive pedal.

The feel of the neck is instantly inviting with it's hand rubbed oil and wax matte finish. It's smooth across the entire back, which allows for fast runs and can be played for many hours in the studio or on stage without any fatigue. This is a do it all guitar with its own distinct character that musicians of all styles will appreciate. Whomever purchases this Marvin is sure to have a cherished musical companion for a lifetime.
