Description

Summary: This is a beautiful Japanese made Tokai Stratocaster copy with a wonderful candy apple red finish and maple neck. It is crazy how close to a real ‘70s era Fender Strat this feels and it is every bit as awesome. This instrument was made in the early 1980’s ships in its original red leather gigbag and it is in really good shape!

Body: Solid body electric guitar with a Stratocaster body style & a beautiful candy apple red finish.

Neck: One piece maple neck and fretboard with a 70’s feeling neck profile and oversized headstock, original Tokai logo, dual string tree, bullet truss rod, 1 9/16” nut width, bone nut, black fretboard markers, 25.5” scale length, 70s F style tuning keys and 3 bolt neck attachment with neck angle tilt.

Pickups/Hardware: 3 single coil pickups with black covers, 5-way switch, one volume knob & 2 tone knobs, black 3-ply pickguard and vibrato system.

Cosmetics: This old Tokai is in good shape – there are signs of wear & the instrument does have pick scratching on the pickguard. There are various nicks & dings on the body, a few minor dings in the neck that are not very noticeable to the touch while playing, some buckle rash on the back of the guitar & a few notable dings on the back near the bottom strap button but nothing out of the ordinary for a guitar of its age or anything that detracts from the beauty of this awesome guitar.

Playability: This Tokai plays and sounds great – we put a new set of 10’s on this instrument and it feels awesome. The frets are in pretty good shape & have a lot of life left in them

Modifications: N/A

Weight: 7 lbs, 11 oz.

Case: This vintage Tokai comes with the original leather gig bag that is very cool but not very padded. We will package it well & ship it fully insured through Reverb.com
