Summary: The Atom has a unique, single cut-away body silhouette, top-mounted bridge & tilt-back neck-to-body angle. Mahogany construction, and 24 3/4-inch scale-length make this a completely different Anderson that is still very familiar. A fast-flipping 5-Way switching system with two knob control setup and push/pull function facilitates almost immediate access to a huge variety of tonal variations.
Body: Single cutaway mahogany body with flamed maple top. Burst finish with natural maple binding.
Neck: Mahogany with Indian rosewood fretboard. Satin finish. Dot fret inlays. 1 11/16” nut width. 24 ¾” scale-length.
Electronics/Hardware: Two open coil humbuckers. Chrome hardware. Recessed adjustable bridge with stop tail. Buzz Feiten tuning system. Anderson branded tuners. Five way selector switch. Master volume and master tone controls. Push/pull on tone knob splits middle position. Additional bottom strap button.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition, with little sign of wear, and has a very unique look. The flame on the maple top is dramatic and enhanced by the tasteful burst finish. The guitar looks to have been well-maintained and sparingly played.
Playability: Playability is excellent with low action and no dead spots or fret buzz. The C-shape satin-finished neck and big full frets make maneuverability a breeze up and down the neck. The modified single cutaway body is comfortable and well-balanced. The pickups have a lot of punch and detail, and the switching options provide a wealth of tones at the touch of a fingertip.
