This used Tom Anderson Hollow Drop Top Koa from 1998 is a super lightweight and incredibly fast player made with a spectacular Koa top and a chambered Basswood body. At only 6 lb., 7 oz., it won't break your back or wear you down for extended rock sessions - and that's exactly what this guitar is made for. It has a killer pickup selection, including an Anderson SA1 in the neck, an SA1R in the middle, and an H2+ humbucker in the bridge for a veritable shredding machine that can do just about everything - rhythm and lead players will both love this one. The SA1 and SA1R are hum-canceling single-coils with a dynamic voice with low-bodied mids and crisp highs, while the H2+ has a big low-end, full mids, yet maintains clarity. Its Maple neck has a balanced Even Taper +.030 profile for increased depth, and the Rosewood fingerboard is clean and easy to play with 22 Heavy frets. The nut width is 1 11/16" and this Drop Top has a traditional 25 1/2" scale length. It also has a Vintage tremolo system, and Anderson's Switcheroo pickup system for maximum versatility and an even more broad tonal palette. Here in Excellent condition, it's seen some gigs in its day with very little wear from 17 years of playing, noticeably the finish on the controls is partially rubbed off, but otherwise it still looks and plays as though it was just built. The Tom Anderson Hollow Drop Top Koa includes its original hardshell case.
