c. 1978 Univox Hi Flyer, the poor man's Ventures model. Very good to excellent condition throughout. Just honest player wear and a few minor clunks here and there. Super neck and frets. I made a couple of mods for increased playability: 1) Replaced original bridge posts with locking posts. Much more stable and this got rid of a little forward bridge tilt with the stock posts. 2) Shimmed the neck to bring the bridge height up a bit. BTW, I am totally obsessive/compulsive about guitars, so I made a nice tapered shim for full contact of the neck with the pocket - not just a little piece of wood. This guitar has some hairline cracks in the finish near the neck pocket (see pic), but after having the guitar completely disassembled, I am now absolutely 100% sure they are only in the finish. I inspected every mm of the wood carefully. Obviously this thick glossy finish can crack under the stress of string tension and wood expansion/contraction. There are also a couple of small finish chips between the fretboard and the neck pup. BTW, the same type of finish cracking can be seen along the pancake body seam in a few spots as well. Good player, and has decent tone. The pups are humbuckers, but you're not gonna trade in your PAFs for them, lol! The one-piece bridge unit is compensated for a wound 3rd string. It intonates OK with an unwound string, but you may find yourself opting for a light wound string if your playing style and material demands super tight intonation. Another alternative would be an aftermarket tune o' matic type replacement. Your call. Nice guitar with cool mojo.

Real charges only - no added materials or handling charges. All guitars insured for full value. I will use the least expensive shipping available, although this may be slow in some circumstances (e.g. parcel post). Please let me know if you desire a faster, albeit more, expensive service. Please allow 2 - 4 days of time to prepare and pack your guitar IN ADDITION to the actual shipping transit.

NO buyer's remorse PLEASE! Damage or loss in shipping = insurance claim (with which I will be glad to assist you). At my discretion, a disatistfied buyer may return a guitar (with a thorough explanation) for a full refund of purchase price but not of shipping. I'd rather begrudgingly take back a guitar than truly disappoint a customer. If, however, I have ever made a serious error in identification/originality/damage etc. that negatively affects a guitar's value, then a full refund including shipping will be given. PLEASE file any return claims ASAP - seven days at most.
