1969 Gibson SG Custom Walnut Solid Body Electric Guitar, Serial #885805. This 1969 Gibson SG Custom in Walnut features its original parchment-colored pickguard and is all-original, showing light playwear, fret wear, and gold plating wear. The finish has checking and roughness on the back of the body, upper bout, and neck at the case support area, likely due to a reaction with the case lining. The electronics are original and fully functional, with the middle position featuring out-of-phase pickups, a common trait of 3-pickup Gibson models. Pots date to mid-1969 (1376921). Pickups are patent number models. Minor crack on the pickguard (upper bout, bass side). Missing screw in the center of the pickguard, under the bridge. The guitar comes in an era-correct but non-original Gibson hard case and includes the original sales receipt from December 1970 from Sam Ash Brooklyn. 7.8lbs. Hard case included.
