Description

Ed King's 1954 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst Solid Body Electric Guitar, Serial #0641. Exceptionally clean 1954 Fender Stratocaster, a first-year production model, previously owned by Ed King, co-writer of the legendary "Sweet Home Alabama" riff and a key member of Lynyrd Skynyrd. The neck date is TG 10 54. The body date is 8/54. The guitar remains all-original including solder joints, showing only light use with minor dings and scuffs. The switch tip has been repaired, and the tremolo arm tip is broken. There is a repair patch on the back of the neck that Ed had professionally done and is only slightly visibly noticeable. The original sales receipt is included in the original Tweed hard case, which is in spectacular condition. Includes documentation from Carter Vintage and Ed King, including a signed letter and a video of Ed King discussing and playing this guitar, originally made for the buyer to whom Ed sold the instrument. 6.8lbs.
