A copy of Fender's Swinger model, but with a 24-inch scale, the VanZandt Broken Allow is easier to handle and more playable.
The VanZandt Broken Allow is a modernized and more playable reproduction of the Swinger (also known as the Arrow or Musiclander), a beginner-friendly student model released by Fender in 1969, The original 22.5" scale neck was replaced by a 24" scale for pitch stability. The small body is also given a moderate weight to give a core sound and good sustain. Two hand-wired pickups are mounted, and the center position is wired in series to give a powerful humbucking sound. The fingerboard is made of Madagascar rosewood. This is a usable swinger copy model that combines the careful craftsmanship and high quality materials of PGM, a long-established Japanese workshop.
