Tuned D to D, almost an octave above standard tuning, the unison pairs provide a sweet, ringing tone that works as a solo instrument, for accompanying vocals, and as a great layering tool. A capo on the second fret and it is a full octave above standard tuning and all the familiar fingerings work.
