Description

Vinetto guitars are built by the very talented luthier Vince Cunetto, former aging master of Fender's Custom Shop before he retired to build his own instruments. He builds a variety of S and T-style guitars of extremely high quality. I'm not sure if Vince is still building these days, as his guitars are quite hard to find. The SC 50 BG Artifact (single cut / 50's era / black guard / aged) offered here is Vince's interpretation of an early 50's Broadcaster-style instrument. He calls his aged guitars "Artifacts" rather than "Relics" so as not to incur the wrath of Fender's intellectual property attorneys.

This guitar has an Ash body and is very light in weight - just 6.6 lbs. It has a nice chunky D/U-shaped neck made of a single piece of quarter-sawn Maple, with depth measurements of .950" at the 1st fret and 1.00" at the 12th, a 9.5" fretboard radius and vintage frets. The electronics include killer Lollar Vintage T pickups with modern Tele wiring and controls. It has a Bakelite pickguard, aged nickel tuners and uses vintage-style flat-head screws. This particular Vinetto has been lightly aged to a nice and very authentic patina. Vince's aging aside, this guitar is in great condition and the frets show very little wear. It comes in it's original tweed G&G case which is also in extremely nice condition.

Few luthiers do this style of guitar as well as Vince Cunetto. This thing just oozes vintage vibe and it plays and sounds like the high-end boutique Tele that it is. The tone is vintage Tele too with lots of twang without being piercing. Play it a few minutes and you will see that this Vinetto is comparable in quality and performance to a Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt Nocaster Relic, but at the price of a team-built Custom Shop Fender.

Make this fabulous Vinetto yours. You will be very glad you did!
