As I've said many times before, the instruments found in our inventory are guitars that we like to play and would spend our own money to buy. This fabulous Vinetto Tele-style guitar is certainly one such instrument.
Vinetto guitars were built by the very talented luthier Vince Cunetto, former aging master of Fender's Custom Shop before he retired to build his own instruments. He built a variety of S and T-style guitars of extremely high quality. Vinettos are no longer in production, so those that become available on the used market are all there will be. The SC 50 BG Artifact offered here was Vince's interpretation of an early 50's Broadcaster-style instrument.
This guitar has an Ash body and weighs just 6.4 lbs. It has a nice chunky D/U-shaped neck made of a single piece of quarter-sawn Maple, with depth measurements of .940" at the 1st fret and 1.00" at the 12th, a 9.5" fretboard radius and 6105 (medium/tall) frets. The electronics include a Lollar Mini-Humbucker in the neck position, a Lollar Vintage T single coil in the bridge position with modern Tele wiring and controls. It has a Bakelite pickguard, aged nickel tuners and uses vintage-style flat-head screws. The original owner had this guitar Plek'd in 2015 so the fret work is impeccable. This guitar received Vince's "Under the Bed" aging, which is comparable to a Fender Closet Classic Relic job. Vince's aging aside, this guitar is in great condition and the Plek'd frets remain flawless. It comes in it's original tweed G&G case with all the original paperwork.
This guitar is the quality-equivalent of a Fender Masterbuilt Nocaster Relic, but at less than half the Fender's price. It oozes vintage vibe and it plays and sounds like the high-end boutique Tele that it is. The tone is vintage Tele with the added flexibility that the neck humbucker provides.
Make this fabulous and increasingly rare Vinetto yours. A very high quality 50's T-style guitar at a great price.
