Description

Vinettos are built by Vince Cunetto, former Fender Custom Shop aging master and the individual many credit for creating the concept of guitar aging. Whether true or not, few luthiers know how to make a new instrument look and feel like a vintage instrument the way that Vince Cunetto can. He calls his aged guitars "Artifacts" so as not to violate Fender's "Relic" copywrite. Besides extremely realistic aging, the overall quality of Vince's work is extremely high, equal to Fender Masterbuilt guitars in my opinion.

Offered here is an Artifact DC60, Vince's take on a vintage '60 Fender Stratocaster. This guitar has an Alder body with a faded black nitrocellulose finish which has been superbly aged and a total guitar weight of 7.6 pounds; a 60's C-shape Maple neck with depth measurements of .850" at the first fret and .960" at the twelfth fret; a lovely dark Rosewood fretboard with 9.5" radius, medium/jumbo frets and a 1.650" bone nut; a tremolo bridge with Callaham saddles; and for electronics, three Lollar Blackface single coils with a 5-way switch and modern wiring.

If a pro player came to me and said... "Charlie, I'm going on tour and I don't want to take my pricey vintage '62 Strat with me, what have you got?" In response to this question, I could recommend this guitar without hesitation. It feels, plays and sounds like the real deal. This guitar is as good as many Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilts Relics I've played over the years. Please check out the provided sound sample for a short taste of the tone of this wonderful Strat-style instrument.

The frets on this guitar show little to no wear as shown in the provided photos. It comes with it's original brown G&G case, trem arm and paperwork. The look, feel and sound of this guitar rivals that of Strat-style guitars costing at least twice as much. Vinettos are no longer being built, so those that already exist are all there will be. Get yourself a great vintage replica with this Vinetto!
