Description

Vinetto guitars were built by Vince Cunetto, former Fender Custom Shop aging master and the individual many credit for creating the "Relic" and the concept of guitar aging generally. Whether true or not, few luthiers know how to make a new guitar look and feel like a vintage instrument the way that Vince Cunetto did. He calls his aged guitars "Artifacts" so as not to violate Fender's "Relic" copywrite. Besides extremely realistic aging, the overall quality of Vince's work is extremely high, easily equal to Fender Masterbuilt guitars in my opinion.

Offered here is an Artifact SC 63, Vince's take on an early '60's Fender Telecaster. This guitar has an Alder body with a faded Daphne Blue nitrocellulose finish which has been superbly aged. It has a total weight of just slightly over 7 pounds. It has a 60's C-shape Maple neck with depth measurements of .850" at the first fret and .960" at the twelfth fret. The fretboard is very dark Honduran Rosewood fretboard with 9.5" radius, medium/jumbo frets and a 1.650" bone nut. The vintage style Tele bridge is by Glendale with brass saddles. The electronics include two Lollar Vintage T single coils with a classic Tele control setup and modern wiring. Every component in this guitar is top notch!

This Vinetto looks, feels, plays and sounds as good, if not better, than most any 60's style Telecaster reissue available. Vince's years of working at Fender are evident in his guitars. They have a very high-end Custom Shop feel and they equal Fender Masterbuilt quality levels, but a "Team Built" price. Please check out the provided sound sample for a taste of the vintage Tele tone of this wonderful instrument. And it plays as good as it looks.

This original owner of this guitar was a collector who has subjected this beauty to little or no playing. It remains in excellent (albeit aged) condition and the frets look like new. It comes with it's original brown G&G case, trem arm and paperwork. This Vinetto rivals that of Tele-style guitars costing at least twice as much. Vinettos are no longer being built (Vince succumbed to arthritis several years back I believe), so those that already exist are all there will be. Get yourself a great vintage replica with this Vinetto!
