1967-1968 Vox V286 Grand Prix is one of the most innovative guitars ever produced. Loading a guitar with built-in effects was practically unheard of, at the time. The Grand Prix was completely revolutionary in the way that a guitarist could merely bring the guitar and an amp, and have all the effects needed to create a variety of sounds.
100% original and comes with the original Vox hardcase.
Equipped with distortion, treble and bass booster, repeat percussion (tremolo), E note emitter "E Tuner", and wah with hand control!
Made in Italy by Eko for Vox. This guitar was only made for 2 years, 1967 and 1968. It's a full hollow-body electric guitar, yet still retains weight due to all the electronics and circuitry.
The frets are in great shape with no divots and only a few flat spots. Has a small ding in the finish on the bottom edge of the side of the guitar near the strap button. On the treble side of the back of the neck, behind the 3rd fret, is a finish irregularity. It's a raised line, that can be felt, that travels from the high E to the middle of the neck. We're fairly certain it is a finish anomaly from the factory. It can only be seen in the proper lighting. On the back of the body, near the treble side waist, is a finish crack that runs from the snap-button to the binding.
Has a 1 9/16", 25 1/2" scale length, and weighs 8 pounds 13 ounces.
