Description

An early 1900s W.J. Dyer & Brothers Eclipse guitar in Natural finish.

We love turn-of-the-century parlor guitars. They hark back to the days before CNC machines, assembly lines, and modern construction techniques. Hand built by true artisans, these vintage parlors are the real deal.

This one comes from W.J. Dyer & Brothers in St. Paul, Minnesota. It's ladder braced for punchy tone. It's also a lovely guitar with Brazilian Rosewood back & sides, natural wood binding and red+green purfling on the top. In very good vintage condition and almost totally original, it has had a few typical repairs for an instrument of this age. The center seam has been glued and cleated and there are some side cracks which were glued but not cleated. The finish has been touched up and we assume it was refretted at some point because the frets, though vintage in appearance, are in very good condition.

This guitar has been inspected and set up in-house by our esteemed Guitar Tech. It comes with a 70s Martin hard shell case. If you're interested in purchasing this vintage beauty, give us a call and we'll be happy to give you an in-hand description and answer any questions you may have.
