IT WAS A SLOW SUMMER SO AM KNOCKING DOWN THE PRICES OF MANY GUITARS FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY!
A rare Wandre Blue Jeans, Bizarre Italian guitar. Super cool, mid century modern, 60’s guitar with an awesome original retro red and gold glitter paint job. This guitar is a very scarce model. Do not confuse it with the common Tri-Lam model.
She was most probably manufactured circa 1962 - 63 and has a “bowel” body. Concave top and convex back with aluminum half-round poles that run from the aluminum headstock frame to the tailpiece. All the way through the guitar like a neck-through. (Photo of guitar with pick guard off available for serious buyers). The shape of the body combined with the “neck-through” and the Wandre pickup makes this guitar one of the most beautiful toned guitars. She is a very comfortable feather weight weighing in at just under 5 pounds!
I bought her from a New York dealer years ago and she was missing her original pick guard and pickup. She had a very good, professionally made replacement pick guard with a Japanese pickup installed. This was most probably done in the 70’s - 80’s.
I searched diligently all over the world for over 2 years before I located a Wandre pickup (They are literally worth their weight on gold: $500.) and had it professionally installed; rerouting the pickguard. Now she is one of the most beautiful sounding guitars there is!
She still has her Noble headstock badge (music dealer Don Noble of Chicago is said to have imported Wandre guitars from Italy late 1962 - late 1963) and still retains her colorful Wandre label with a depiction of the Wandre factory on back of her headstock. Even her original serial number tag is still intact!
A truly gorgeous example of a most sought after guitar!
