100 YEARS OLD!!! - 1915 Washburn Parlor Guitar style #2023 model 1915, No. 44116 in excellent overall condition for its age, with original purple-lined softshell case. This is a WONDERFUL Player - a wonderful little vintage parlor. She has recently had a neck set, so she is very very playable. Large and very pronounced V shaped neck, action is quite comfortable, bridge has not been modified, comes with a fresh set of Silk and Steel strings. Solid spruce top, ladder braced, mahogany back and sides. Cosmetically, for a guitar this age, she's great. Lots of finish checking, of course - and some pick scratches and light dings - but really quite minimal considering the age. There are 3 small screw holes on the butt-end of the guitar, near the strap button, as a former owner had a trapeze-style tailpiece on there at one time. There is a pronounced nick in the V of the neck near the heel. This does not impair play at all, as it is so far up the fingerboard, and most of your playing will be down lower. See photo for detail. This is wonderful old US made parlor, with a sweet and intimate tone. Perfect for writing and recording. Call 859-261-5500 for an in hand description. Thanks.
