Serial # 551. A rare treat for any lefty, this ladder-braced Collings Waterloo Wl-14L is a ridiculously cool guitar! This one features a gorgeous black finish with cream-white accents, truss-rod in the neck, and original V neck carve. The guitar is in mint condition, and set up perfectly.
A wonderfully fun guitar to play, the WL-14L is both loud and warm. It has all the pop and mid range you’d expect of a ladder-braced instrument, but adds a surprising amount of color and resonance in the bass register. It’s great with a flat-pick; it’s also great with a heavy fingerstyle attack. The guitar has headroom enough for the heaviest attack, and gives back more and more volume with increased left hand energy.
1-3/4” nut, 24-7/8” scale, 2-3/8” string spread at the bridge. Mahogany back and sides, spruce top (this one looks like Red spruce). Bone saddle, ebony bridge and pins; rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot markers and ebony nut, Stew-Mac golden age tuners.
With original hardshell case.
