Here we have a Brand New Waterloo WL-14LTR acoustic guitar in black satin finish and white top binding. The “LTR” in the model name means that this one is ladder-braced and comes with a truss rod. We like ladder braced guitars for a more vintage sound. Most of the old time acoustic bluesmen played ladder-braced guitars. Per the Waterloo website, these guitars provide “woody and open tone, with midrange honk that’s perfect for fingerstyle blues.”
This WL-14 has Golden Age restoration tuners. Super comfortable 1 3/4 inch Ebony nut. Mahogany neck with a scale length of 24 7/8 inches. Neck depth is .83 inches at the first fret and 1.05 inches at the twelfth fret. Rosewood fingerboard with 19 frets. Ebony saddle with bone nut. Black with Satin finish. Tiger stripe celluloid pickguard.
Like all Waterloos, this guitar sounds awesome and plays great. Comes with a Waterloo hardshell case.
