1950 Waverly (?) Diamond Back Treble Tuning Machine

Ok, all you tuning machine geeks out there, you tell me. Looks like Waverly but could easily be a terrific copy and if so, European form the looks of it, far too nicely done to be from, er, somewhere else. Nine diamonds stamped on the cover, no other markings; perfect 7/32” dia. post. Yours for $49
