1932 Waverly National Style 0 Tuner Set

These came from a 1932 National Style 0 guitar and they’re extremely cool. Typical top-grade Waverlys of the day with decorative rolled edge pattern on the backplates, and one unusual aspect: the worm on the 3rd-string-post is reverse-direction. Real close inspection reveals about the best field repair I’ve ever seen on a set of tuning machines, ever. Some very clever metal mechanic/worker, years and years ago, was able to make someone’s guitar playable under adverse circumstances and my hat is off to him or her, whoever he or she was. Bottom line: that tuner has a slightly different button and works in the opposite direction, though if you wrap that string the other way they’ll all go the same.
