Description
The WEM Deep Blue is about as rare and cool as they come! Not only does it have great tone, it has a FUNCTIONING tube powered Copicat tape echo built right into the back. 60's vibe is oozing from every bit of this amp. As for the controls, this amp is pretty straight forward with some unique options. It is a two channel amp with four seperate inputs (two per channel). The adjustments are Volume, Bass, and Treble. Each channel has a "Treble Boost" switch as well (think "bright" switch). The actual amplifier part of this amp is 30 watts with four EL-84's in the power section. The speaker is none other than a Thames Ditton Celestion G12-H Greenback. The sound is quite warm coming from this amp. The Copicat tube tape echo is fully functional and sounds awesome. It has some basic controls giving you three separate lengths of delay, or any combination of them simultaneously with levels (mix) and repeats. The entire amplifier and tape unit have both had a recent professional servicing. While it was in the shop, it was converted to run on 120 volts, as opposed to the 220 they use across the pond. Take your tone into the "deep" with the DEEP BLUE!
