For your consideration a 1970s Yamaha FG-180! If your’e an Elliott Smith fan then you already know this is the same model that he played at most of his solo shows as well as the Oscars! Built at the Nippon Gakki in Japan this guitar features a solid Spruce top which give it a rich full sound.

Specs! this guitar is all original and in good condition. Yamaha open-gear tuners. Rosewood overlay on head stock with metal Yamaha truss rod cover. Nut width measures 1-23/32″. Mahogany neck with a depth of .85″ at the first fret and 1.10″ at the twelfth fret. It has a 25.4″ scale length. Rosewood fingerboard with a 16″ radius. Action set at 6.5/64″ on the bass side and 6/64″ on the treble side. Original 20 medium frets. Solid spruce top with mahogany back and sides. Natural gloss finish. Rosewood belly bridge with a bone saddle. Maple bridge plate. Does not come with a case. Weighs 4 pounds.

If your’e an Elliott Smith super fan this is a must have guitar! If you’re looking for a good song writing partner this is a great candidate! Great full sound. Nice punchy bass with crisp treble. You can tell why this guitar worked so well for Elliott’s style. Bass lines jump out but don’t bury the chord. Awesome instrument, would be a great addition to anyone’s studio but would make a great main axe as well.
