This instrument is all veneer with a lacquer surface.
The gorgeous inlay work throughout is reminiscent of the L53, one of the L Four Heavenly Kings.

The spruce used for the top is fine-grained and of the high quality that can only be found on high-end models. The rosewood used for the side backs also has a sense of weight and matches the elegant appearance.

The unique YAMAHA shape with a bulging body end produces a very deep low-frequency output, and the overwhelming sense of sound pressure is very attractive.
The gentle V-shaped neck is well-made and feels comfortable in the hand.
