I'm sure fans of these early '90s Pacificas already know the ins and outs of them, so there's no need to go into a long diatribe about Basswood bodies, tilt-back headstocks, RM Pro-II tremolos, or total access neck joints, No- the feature that stunned us from the moment we first picked the guitar up was its super-slinky, rail-thin, Black Mamba-quick neck profile. If anyone ever made a bass guitar with a neck like this, I'd never sell it. In fact, they'd have to bury me with it.
The neck measurements on this neck are 0.66" at the 1st fret and 0.77" at the 12th. This makes chording (for me) extremely easy and doesn't fire the 'ol arthritis up. I'm no guitar player to speak of, but I didn't want to put this thing down and the triple DiMarzios are as nasty as you want them to be.
Being 30-something years old, she's not perfect; There are some surface scratches and dings on the body and a good amount of pink swirling on the pickguard. The case is not original to the guitar, but it was made by the Freedom company and is nice and sturdy.
