Offered for sale:

New Yamaha Revstar RS420FRD Electric Guitar-Fired Red serial number IQK163048.

This is a new instrument and is sold with a complete factory warranty.

The Yamaha Revstar series is one of the most impressive electrics we’ve seen, in any price range, in a long time.

INSPIRATION

Drawing from the stylish lines and honed performance of the Café Racer bikes that graced the streets of 1960s London, Revstar embraces the concept of being stripped down, tuned up and dialed in.

INTERPRETATION

Attention to detail, heritage and craftsmanship undeniably born in Japan.

INNOVATION

Precision crafting and beautiful engineering driven by a desire to reach new heights.

The Revstar RS420 is a solid-body guitar sporting a double-cutaway design with a small pickguard, and a mahogany or nato body with a maple top. A 22-fret rosewood fingerboard sits atop the mahogany or nato neck, and the strings are held in place by an adjustable tune-o-matic bridge. The body features a hidden forearm contour, a deep belly cut, and neck joint which allows for easier upper-fret access.

The RS420 is fitted with custom-wound VH3, Alnico V humbucking pickups with German silver baseplates along with a 3-way selector switch, and dual controls for master volume and master tone. The tone knob includes a push/pull dry switch.

Designed especially for Revstar, the Yamaha proprietary Dry Switch gives you the versatility of a coil split, but with tone that's miles ahead. Using a passive filter circuit painstakingly designed to give the perfect frequency response, the Dry Switch filters out low frequencies to give the punch and clarity of a single-coil pickup without the inevitable hum and hollow tone often associated with split humbucking pickups.
