1978 Yamaha SG 1000 "Sunburst"

A fantastic sounding, Japanese made guitar, the Yamaha SG 1000 is a high quality vintage instrument. It features a double cut mahogany body with a flamed maple top, ebony fingerboard, and a three-piece, maple and mahogany set neck. The adjustable "tune-o-matic" style bridge and stop tailpiece and original Yamaha pickups deliver vintage Gibson inspired tone and sustain which made this the instrument of choice for Carlos Santana throughout the late 70s. A fantastic value for a guitar of this quality and an excellent alternative to other brands whos quality control standards in the 70s left much to be desired.
