1981 Yamaha SG 1000 "Sunburst"

A fantastic playing solidbody electric made in Japan, this 1981 SG 1000 features a replaced pair of DiMarzio humbucking pickups, set neck construction, and a mahogany body with a maple top. When the SG series came out in the late 1970s they caught on with players disappointed with the poor quality control and inconsistency with Gibson guitars of the era. Players like Carlos Santana and Neal Schon made great use of these instruments which offered the familiar feel of an LP style guitar at a fraction of the price. This guitar is in great shape and includes the original hardshell case.
