Description
The culmination of the SG series. YAMAHA SG3000, the original model of all musician models.

The development of Yamaha electric guitars began around 1965. The late Genichi Kawakami, the president of Yamaha at the time, ordered his staff to produce all original electric guitars. The SG3000, officially announced on September 1, 1982, was the culmination of the SG series up to that time. The SG3000 is the culmination of the SG series up to that time, and features a through-neck body structure inherited from the SG2000, a one-piece T-cross construction with a very labor-intensive maple top, and body binding made of luxurious Mexican Avalon, the first use of this material since the SG-175. The most distinctive feature of the pickup is that it is equipped with a Spinex pickup that uses a magnet made of Spinex, a newly developed material at the time, which Yamaha was the first in the world to successfully put to practical use as a pickup magnet. The appeal of this pickup is that it does not lose its high frequency range even at high volume, yet it is easy to produce touch nuance." This electric guitar has captivated many famous musicians, including Carlos Santana, Masayoshi Takanaka, Kyoji Yamamoto, Tsuyoshi Ujiki, and Issei Noro, and has become the axis of their own models.
