This is an important Nineteenth Century Martin , featured on plate 27 in the book "Inventing the American Guitar ". It features an unusual double x bracing in the lower bout , one of the only known examples with this style construction . Additionally it is one of the most perfectly preserved 19th Century Martin I have ever seen . The condition is unbelievably pristine , especially for an instrument this old. Gorgeous Brazilian rosewood back and sides. Lovely marquetry on the back and rosette.
