Here is a very special James Tyler guitar for sale. We were told this guitar was built by Paul Slagle for himself when he worked for James Tyler guitars. This guitar has a nitro finish instead of poly, and Paul had said he hand-selected the Swamp Ash and Birdseye Maple and let each piece cure and settle before he actually assembled the guitar, so it was a very thoughtful, conscientious process. He also did the same thing when finishing. The guitar is very lightweight at 6 lbs. 13 oz. and is extremely resonant and toneful. We have included a copy of the Tyler spec sheet that was sent to us from James Tyler Guitars. The neck is made of beautiful Quartersawn Birdseye Maple, Swamp Ash body, neck shape is Standard ’59 but with a very comfortable soft V shape. Fantastic sounding pickups with a very cool push-pot on the rear tone control that activates the neck pickup when the knob is pushed in when using the bridge pickup and activates the bridge pickup when the knob is pushed in when using the neck pickup. Original tweed hardshell case included.
