A few years back Larrivee built a small # of P-01's to commemorate the fact that one of these guitars was taken aboard the International Space station by astronaut Chris Haddon. A video of Mr. Haddon playing David Bowie's "A Space Oddity" which catapulted the P-01 into guitar/outerspace fame.
The current version is the P-01 ISS Ltd. Ed is the same exact guitar as this one except that this one was made before the ISS Ltd. Ed. and, as such, doesn't have any mention of the ISS mission or being an Ltd. Ed. The ISS Ltd. retails for over $1500 while this one is selling for a mere $695. So if you just want a great little guitar to play rather than a collector's item to put in a display case, then this one is for you!
